Jay entered the insurance profession in 1978 with Aetna Casualty & Surety in the Claim Department. Throughout his 14 years with Aetna, he gained a wealth of experience in multi-line claim handling, from personal lines to the most complex issues such as contractual claims, products and latent health issues. He was promoted through the ranks and achieved a manager's position in 1991.
Jay joined Marquis & Associates in 1992 as Vice President of Claims, then Willis in 1997, as Senior Vice President and New Jersey Construction Practice Leader.
At Construction Risk Partners, Jay is at the forefront of addressing client's needs. He has established a working claim department designed to address the unique claim, coverage and contractual issues inherent in the construction industry. He has also played a large part in the development of the entire CRP client service platform.
Recognizing the importance of industry involvement, Jay is very active in key contractor associations. He previously served as an associate member on the Board of the Associated General Contractors of NJ, and continues to be very active in the Associated Construction Contractors of NJ as part of the newly created Associate Board. He also sits on the safety committees of both the ACC and the UTCA, and is called upon regularly to provide advice on insurance issues to both Associations.
Jay is regularly invited, and enthusiastically shares his knowledge with various groups. He has been guest speaker and presenter at NYU, Rutgers and The Port Authority Mentor/Protégé program, to name a few.
Jay graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1978 with a BS degree in Economics & Finance. He earned his CPCU designation in 1991.
